The Illawarra Branch of the Music Teachers' Association of NSW is celebrating its 45th year in 2024.

Past and Present members are invited to celebrate our 45th Anniversary at the Fraternity Club in Fairy Meadow. It will be a buffet style luncheon and we are hoping to have some memorabilia on display. (Please, if you have any photos, artifacts, etc, that you would like to display, please get in touch at illawarra@mtansw.org.au).

The branch caters for music teachers in the Illawarra region, which extends from Nowra in the south to Helensburgh in the north. Throughout the year, the branch runs many activities which are of benefit to both students and teachers.

It is time to reflect on how far the Music Teachers' Association of NSW has come and to now look to the future and determine our priorities, particularly around our all-important advocacy efforts on behalf of rural, regional and remote communities.

Let's honour our organisation’s roots and highlight the evolution and progress the Illawarra branch has achieved since its inception. We look forward to sharing stories and memories that show the change the Illawarra branch has brought about.
