Linda Jane Stacy B.Mus. (NSW Con.) , Grad.Dip.Mus. (VCA) MTeach (Sydney Uni)

I have more than 30 years experience as an oboe teacher and I am an AMEB woodwind examiner. I have taught privately and in schools in Sydney, Melbourne and England including MLC, Trinity Grammar, SCEGGS and St. Catherine’s. I currently teach oboe at The Scots College in Bellevue Hill, and in my private studio’s at Lugarno and Brighton-Le-sands.

I enjoy teaching pupils of all ages and I successfully start oboe students as young as 7 years old. I prepare students for AMEB or Trinity grade exams, for scholarship or HSC exams. Some students play in bands or are simply playing for pleasure. I develop individual programs for each student according to their interests and goals.  I encourage the enjoyment of music and a love of the oboe.

Performance

I have worked as an oboe / Cor Anglais player in many professional orchestras including The State Orchestra of Victoria, The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, in music theatre and a variety of chamber music ensembles.
