Roderick MacFarlane

I have been teaching piano for over 20 years and am extremely passionate about it, and helping every student to reach their full potential. I specialise in the higher level students - grade 7 to L Mus A. I especially enjoy teaching at this level but have also some young beginners who I thoroughly enjoy.

I am a Composer with EMI Music - Six Piano Albums - Piano Fun 1, 2 and 3, Music My Way, Piano Fun for Beginners Book 1 and 2 and Piano Fun Studies.

I am the Co writer (with my wife Nola) of Dulcie Holland Grade 4 and 5 Theory Answer Books - commissioned by EMI Music.

I have also produced Two CDs.

I have adjudicated competitions in Sydney Canberra and many regional centres in NSW.
I have given workshops to music teachers and students around Australia and New Zealand.

I have been a Council Member and president - Music Teachers' Association NSW.

Fully Accredited member Suzuki Talent Association NSW.

I enjoy preparing students for AMEB examinations and coaching at the higher levels for other teachers.

I am keen to pass on my love of music to students of all ages.
